Use of the birth certificate.

    If your state allows, copy the original birth certificate, and show during a home visit. Points of interest include:

        - time of birth

        - birth mother’s full name   

        - birth mother’s age

        - name of hospital where child was born   

        - birth father’s name ( if you are lucky)

        - Let them keep the copy or foster parent or both
